Accounts Payable Clerk

Duke Manufacturing Company is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting/Finance team! This role offers a hybrid work environment - requiring some dedicated in office work but also the ability to work remotely.

Job Summary:

The AP Clerk supports the day-to-day financial transactions related to Duke's payable accounts. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expenses and payments and ensures proper financial record-keeping and compliance with company policy.

This role may be a good fit for you if:

• You are experienced in an accounts payable or related role.
• You are familiar with accounting software; proficient in Microsoft excel.
• You have strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and organizational skills.
• You are an effective communicator, both written and verbal (polite and professional with customers internally and externally)

Key Responsibilities for the role include:

• Obtain and process invoices for payment
• Sort and distribute incoming postal mail
• Match invoices and research/resolve discrepancies
• Prepare freight coding for GL and AP entry
• Print and distribute checks, preparing manual checks as needed
• Answer and respond to calls and questions
• Run reports, verify receipts and process credit memos

Base Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus!
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related role is preferred
