HR Coordinator

Job Summary

The Sedalia Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support for HR Basic services as a key member of Duke's US HR Department.

This position works under the direction of the local HR Generalist or Specialist to support our employees in order to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture, emphasizing Duke's Values and conforming to appropriate labor laws. The HR Administrator provides support for most HR Basics services to include being the first point of contact for employee support, coordinate employee engagement activities, support collection and proper storing of HR documents (employment records, onboarding, etc.), maintain certain reports, support the new hire process, employee follow-up and other duties or projects as needed.

Essential Functions

1. Provide communications support for Sedalia Duke operations
2. Support the HR department in the organization and maintenance of HR databases.
3. Assist Sedalia with Time Sheet Management
4. Support US HR Recruiting & Onboarding process
5. Provide benefit support.
6. May participate in HR Projects or provide other HR administrative support as needed

Basic Job Qualifications

• Associates Degree (preferred)
• Work experience as HR Administrator or Office Assistant preferred
• Knowledge of administrative and routine duties related to 1-2 HR functional area (benefits, recruiting, staffing, payroll, safety, HR services, HRIS)
• Experience with HR software, like HRIS preferred
• Working knowledge of MS O365 applications including Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Word
• Strong computer skills, data management and reporting, and application of computer programs
• Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing (strong phone, email and Teams application -communication skills)
