Lead Programmer

Programmer Job Summary -

Programmers are responsible for developing and modifying the CNC programs for Lasers, Turret Presses, Panel Benders, Routers, and other CNC equipment according to design specifications in an accurate and timely manner.

Programmers are also responsible for developing, evaluating, and scheduling both static and dynamic batch nests based on work order quantities and dates while focusing on maximizing sheet utilization and minimizing waste in a cost effect manner.

Lead Programmer Job Responsibilities:

• Stay knowledgeable on latest industry & software trends
• Handle department manning/scheduling (i.e. vacation coverage)
• Represent the department in meetings (liaison)
• Maintain metrics and/or productivity reports for the department
• Give input on Programmers performance reviews
• Strong adherence to Duke values
• All other programmer duties.
