Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and capable business development professional to grow our sales through new account acquisition and current account management. The candidate selected will be responsible for aggressively growing market share within key product categories. This person will report to our Sr. Director Business Development.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a working strategy with the Sr. Business Development Director and Value Stream Leader that aligns with the company's strategic goals and sales targets.
  • Implement sales growth strategies within targeted dealers, regions, segments and accounts.
  • Identify and assemble key decision makers/influencers inside of targeted segments, accounts and channel. 
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and out comes within schedule.
  • Understand, interpret and solve complex problems collaborating with shared internal and external resources.
  • Able to analyze customer pain points and present a compelling solution with ROI & value proposition.
  • Effectively coordinate sales effort with internal team members, other departments and external channel.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction with minimal resources.
  • Demonstrate, implement and provide general support for our products.
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a business/marketing focus.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development with documented examples of acquiring and maintaining large accounts.
  • Experience within the foodservice industry is a plus.
  • Able to work comfortably where our customers work which includes test facilities, kitchens, retail locations, and corporate locations.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to formulate a solid business plan. 
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated, a team player, and has a desire to grow, based on his/her performance.  This position has growth potential into Director level.
  • Strong documented business skills and outstanding communication abilities.
  • Effectively manages his/her time to the "A" priorities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Use personal and professional networks to gain access to influential contacts within specific market segments (QSR, LSR, Fast Casual, C-Store and Retail).
  • Find ways to influence and tailor sales processes so as to more favorably position for Duke Manufacturing Company.

  • Excellent understanding of the QSR, Fast Casual & C-Store industry segments and the challenges faced by the customer.

Travel

  • Ability to travel 50%-60% to all regions of the US
