CAD Technician

CAD Technician

Job Summary:

Establishes design concepts, reads publications, attends showings, and consults with engineering, marketing, production, and sales representatives to establish design concepts. Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods, engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.

Essential Functions:

  1. Preliminary drawing creation/revisions
  2. Submittal drawing creation/revisions
  3. Release for production drawings/factory revisions
  4. Maintenance of block library

Job Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 1 year of professional level experience
  2. Education: Associates Degree in CAD or related program, CAD certification
  3. Must be familiar with AutoCAD Software; Revit and 3D experience is a plus

  7. Information Ordering: the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations)
  8. Oral Expression: the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  9. Originality: the ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem
  10. Speech Clarity: the ability to speak clearly so others can understand you

Workplace Environmental Conditions:

Typical manufacturing and office environment. Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals typical to a manufacturing facility
