The role of supervisor to be a dynamic role between supervision and current role. Expected supervisory contribution is 20% after initiation period, (80/20 split between roles, 80% current duties)
Job Description: CNC Programming Supervisor
Responsible for supervising the work of direct reports, setting expectations, and clarifying responsibilities. Delegate tasks and project assignments to team and schedule the work to meet targets and goals.
Evaluate team through daily contact to develop an understanding of the skill levels of each employee. Provide real-time feedback and guidance on areas where performance could improve. Identify and create individual development and training plans to meet team goals. Develop team members and their team to ensure "Permission to Play" values, uphold Duke "Core" values and strive for Duke's "Aspirational" values.
Perform CI tasks to identify root cause and corrective actions. Influence group to move towards a Problem-Solving culture. Monitor output to ensure the team is operating at maximum efficiency.
Develop and use capacity planning tools to determine the Programming department capacity needed to support fabrication and meet demand.
Manage assigned projects. Track and ensure that all project open action items are getting handled in an appropriate timeframe and manner.
Assist in creation and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Establish, update, communicate, and hold manufacturing standards.
