DevOps Technician - Temporary Position

Duke Manufacturing Company is looking for a DevOps Technician to join our IT & Software development team. This position will be located at our Sedalia, Missouri facility. It is currently a temporary position but may have opportunity to go full time in the future.

Job Summary:

DevOps is enabling companies to transform their operations in everything from production efficiency to product customization, while improving speed to market, service effectiveness, and new-business model creation. A DevOps Technician at Duke will use technology and people skills on a team to: bring greater visibility into all manufacturing activities, provide transparency across manufacturing processes, provide real-time data insights, quickly identify and redress performance issues, empower cross-functional teams to focus on a common objective, streamline and automate processes, minimize waste, maximize efficiency, and create greater productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interact with IT resources to improve tools, technology stack, and application performance and stability.
• Establish, design, perform, and execute comprehensive technical projects to facilitate marketing efforts and goals.
• Assist in creating and sustaining digital systems through systems health monitoring to support the seamless deployment and service levels to all environments and users.
• Sustain and improve quality engineering process through peer review, continuous testing, and knowledge transfer to business functions
• Create and sustain our continuous integration / continuous delivery systems to provide and improve feedback loops within our IT / SW teams, and throughout the entire enterprise.
• Collaborate with ongoing continuous improvement initiatives to engage IT resources and provide active role in creating new creative solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues to address technical commitments and boost sustainability.
• Provide patient mentoring / teaching to all Duke resources on continuous learning and improvement of all Duke Digital initiatives.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Continuous Improvement Skillset to drive action from CI events and initiatives.
• IT Skillset: Windows 10, Linux, Scripting, Networking
• Learner's mindset to learn DevOps software tools, workflows, and improvement
• Previous experience with high-performance and high-availability open-source web technologies
