Engineering Technician

Duke Manufacturing Company is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team at our Sedalia, Missouri location!

Job Summary

Technicians work on modifying and/or extending standard products using their understanding of technology, materials, and manufacturing methods to improve the design and usability of our products. Their work may involve designing, modeling, testing, and producing prototypes and production units. They may also be responsible for using the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process when applicable.

Qualifications

• Interpret documents provided by Engineering
• Process ECOs
• Support the inventory process (material planning, costing, etc.)
• Review modified design for form, fit and function
• Basic drafting competency
• Solidworks drawing experience (dimensioning, view creations, etc.)
• CAD Design for parts and sheet metal (model optimization, appropriate use of conifurations, etc.)
• CAD Design for Assemblies (bottom-up assembly, design intent, interference detection, etc.)
• EPDM check in, check out, search, transition, etc.
• Able to complete data entry in ERP system: set up records, BOM, MOM, Work Order, Job Parts, Costing, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot, investigate errors, determine root cause and develop corrective action in the ERP system is a PLUS!

Education/ Experience

• Draft/ Design Education preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
