Manufacturing Engineer

Duke Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team! Duke is a family owned and operated business and a leading global food service equipment manufacturer.

Our current opening is for a MFG Engineer at our Sedalia, Missouri Production Facility. This position services as a technical resource to the production and NPD departments, supporting the manufacturing activities at the Sedalia plant.

As MFG Engineer, you will have the opportunity to

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, identifying continuous improvement to manufacturing operations and implementing new technologies including development of processes, researching current and emerging technologies and evaluating process quality, cost, capacity, and capability alternatives.
  • Resolve technical issues, providing technical support regarding equipment design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications and operator instructions
  • Develop fixtures and design tools
  • Improve supplier performance, working with current or potential suppliers

Some of the qualifications and skills required for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in MFG Engineering, Industrial Engineering technology or related.
  • Experience in welding or developing welding fixtures a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean MFG or Continuous Improvement principles
  • Knowledge of procedures, equipment, techniques and principles in design process
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and application of computer programs including some form of CAD, excel, project management, powerpoint, etc.
