Manufacturing Training Coordinator

Job Summary:

The proactive and highly organized Manufacturing Training Coordinator will lead and manage training initiatives across all areas of our manufacturing operations. This key role is responsible for selecting, onboarding, and training new associates, ensuring alignment with company values, safety standards, and operational procedures. Requires excellent communication skills, a passion for developing others, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment. This person will work closely with production leadership and HR to proactively cover staffing needs across the manufacturing floor.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and conduct training programs for new and existing manufacturing associates.
  • Select qualified candidates for manufacturing roles in collaboration with HR and hiring managers.
  • Develop and deliver engaging onboarding sessions covering company policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Create and maintain training materials, job aids, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance tracking.
  • Mentor and coach associates to foster skill development, safety compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with supervisors and team leads to identify training needs and skill gaps.
  • Ensure training records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to employee development and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain appropriate workload in training cell to train and develop to the forecasted needs of manufacturing.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a training or leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to present training content clearly to diverse audiences and learning styles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus but not required (Spanish/English or others relevant to workforce).

Workplace Environmental Conditions:

  • Frequently on the production floor, requiring standing, walking, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Office work for documentation and planning activities.
  • May require flexible hours to accommodate training across multiple shifts
