Marketing/Business Development Intern

Job Summary:

Duke Manufacturing has a great opportunity for students in Business, Sales, or Marketing field. Our internship gives a student the opportunity to work closely with Marketing and Customer Care teams to assist and implement aspects of our sales tools. This would include web updates, sales support and research for further content development. The position offers exposure to product marketing and general business administration. Hours are flexible and we can work with you to accommodate your current class schedule.

Essential Functions:

  1. Research, write, and edit online and offline marketing content
  2. Create and maintain industry specific databases
  3. Coordinate updates spec sheets with engineering and product specialists
  4. Support Customer Care organization with quoting products for new business
  5. Work with Engineering to create or update product specifications and details

Job Qualifications:

  1. Education: Must be pursuing a marketing or business degree/certificate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    1. Preferably those entering their Junior or Senior year
  2. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel

  7. Written Comprehension: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  8. Speech Recognition: The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person
  9. Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  10. Written Expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand

Workplace Environmental Conditions:

Typical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
