Material Planning Lead

Job Summary:

The Material Planning Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the key aspects of People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Planning Leads are generally responsible for leading the work of material planning, scheduling and products available to ship on time as well as performing the related tasks associated within the department or function, they support.

Job Description:

The Planning Lead assists the Supervisor with ensuring department goals are met by leading and coordinating the activities of team members within the department in a manner consistent with established quality standards and procedures. They collaborate with the Supervisor to see that all team members are properly trained, engaged, receive regular job performance feedback and work safely. Lead team members coach and support Duke's systems, policies, and procedures. Lead team members perform the planning related tasks within the department to complete the work as needed.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

• Leadership training/experience preferred
• Associate's degree and/or lean supply chain certification
• Good Communication Skills (verbal and written). Ability to give effective feedback and coaching to team members, lead team meetings & department report outs, email, chat, etc.
• Basic Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis
• Critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills
• Able to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience using an ERP System (Oracle, SAP, Epicor)
