Safety Rotation

Reports to:    Safety, Environmental, and Health Manager

Schedule:     6-12 Month Assignment.  Typical M-F, Day Shift, Hours Negotiable, could work outside of schedule if needed on projects. 

Education / Instruction, (can be provided)

• OSHA 30 Training
• Powered Industrial Truck Trainer
• Hazardous Material Shipment
• First Responder (1st Aid, CPR, AED)

Skills Needed

• Willingness to Learn New Things
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups
• Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)

Activities, include:

• Review Job Centers Developing Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Perform Weekly Safety Gemba's (Random Group)
• Conduct Industrial Truck Certification Training (As needed / Weekly)
• Conduct Monthly Industrial Truck Performance Reviews
• Conduct Monthly HazMat Storage Audits.
• Respond to Manager / Supervisor / Lead Safety Requests as needed.
• Perform Accident Investigation / Root Cause as needed
• Provide Safety Topics for MDI Meetings (Weekly)
• Perform 1st Aid (As Needed)
• Maintain 1st Aid Supplies
• Perform Monthly Safety Audits
• Perform Noise Sampling as needed.
• Perform Spot Air Sampling as needed. (CO, etc)
• Develop Personal Protective Equipment Program
• Schedule Hearing Testing (Yearly)
• Schedule First Responder Training (2-3 years / as needed)
• Perform Monthly Inspections (Fire Extinguishers, Spill Kits, Eye Wash Centers)
• Conduct Monthly LOTO Audits.
• Perform Annual Safety Training as needed Emergency Response, Chemical Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, Lockout Tagout, Fire Extinguisher, Hearing Protection, General PPE,
• Conduct Safety Orientations for New Hires.
• Audit to ensure New Employee Safety Check Sheets are completed.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Inventory
• Safety Program Development.
